Today, Miles and I tapped a couple of maple trees around the property. We got 3/4 of a gallon of sap in just a few hours. Hopefully we will be able to boil down some tomorrow night to get the first syrup of the season.

Kicking off 2011... better late than never
OK, it seem like I am very overdue for a post! I've been ignoring this blog for the past 6 months or so, but I'm back. I have not abandoned my ideals of eating locally or changed my day-to-day food habits, I just have not been blogging about it. I plan on changing that in the days and weeks to come.
